Although I am not a professional...I am looking for a Pro Lab that will print a 16X20 from a Jpeg file. I have a Olympus E10. I know about ezprints, dotphoto, etc. I would like to have a real pro do this print for me!

Any one know of a good lab that will do business with an amateur?

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

If you're in the UK, then Loxley Colour in Scotland is the one Tel: 0141 333 9888. You can either send them a CD or email/adsl the file.
They offer a same day service

I'm not sure where you live but if you have a pro lab in your town, take it there. Check your Yellow pages. A pro lab doesn't really care if your a pro or not. Every one I've ever dealt with (even though I am a pro) will process and print film, make enlargments, etc. for anybody who has the money. And as more photographers are going digital, most need any business they can get. I'm not really familiar with any online labs.

I am in the US, Arkansas to be more precise. I live in a small city. no pro lab anywhere close.

Most of the labs that I have found online, require a sales tax number and only work with Pro's.

This is a special photo and I want it to be the best that it can be.

Thanks for any suggestions...

recommend http://www.ebluce.com
they do some work for museums.
recommend lightjet prints,

but you should send test / calibrate first...
they have different papers too.

If you want a litle more affordable,
I'd recommend http://www.midsouthcolor.com
of their chromira printer.
their where the first once to carry the kodak metalic paper,
and preffere that to Ilford chromes. Does not work on all subjects,...

lightjet goes up to res16, 406dpi, usually res12 304dpi, very large prints 150dpi,...
chromira 300dpi
note: the lightjet prints apear sharper, if you have the pixels...

KarenLee,

Of all the labs I've worked with in the US, the two best are West Coast Imaging: http://www.westcoastimaging.com/ and Calypso: http://www.calypsoinc.com/ both of which are in California. They are rigorously color managed labs, and will work with you on how best to print your image. If it really is a special image, don't mess around -- go for a LightJet print on one of the pro Crystal Archive papers. Both WCI and Calypso support FTP uploads. They also have printer profiles you can download to preflight the image yourself, which saves you some money.

Closer to your home is Repro Images in Virginia: http://www.reproimages.com/ They use a Lambda, and do work that is a small notch below the CA labs in quality. Talk with David Clayton at Repro, if you want.

White House (www.whcc.com) in Minneapolis/St Paul can do things via FTP as well. They will do your color correction and so forth for you if you want them to. I had good luck with them when I did film. And have decent results with digital. I am, however, waiting for printer profiles to be available to help the 'snap' in the photos.
