I've just realised that all the fuss with cameras, lenses, composition, exposure, zone systems, location, luck, chromatic abberation, post production, unsharp masks etc is not required!!
All we need to do is create every possible image just by electronically generating every possible combination of pixels!
Because we want to keep the possibilities finite we'd just go for say 6MP images. Because you can pick the perfect photo of that dolphin jumping in the sunset 6MP will be heaps - you'd never need to crop and it would be so sharp and clear. Lets stick to 8bit too - we don't need any head room or scope for adjustments.
Its probably gonna be a lot of images - but most could be discarded as they'd look like random noise. Just keep the ones that make a perfect image.. no not those ones that have one pixel out - the perfect ones.
Ok... so 6MP... thats 6 million pixels. 8 bit means that each pixel can have 24 million different values I think..
So we'd start by generating a perfectly black image and then just change the first pixel to each of the 24 million combinations... and then the first two pixels.. although that would be a bit over half a trillion combinations... then the first 3.. gulp.... hmm we still have 4,999,997 pixels left...
So I think we'd end up with something like 24,000,000^6,000,000 images... or 24 million multiplied by itself 6 million times. But remember we could delete lots of these... that might take a while to sort through them then...
The planet might need a bit more storage too...
Actually lets make them 1 bit images with 500 pixels.. that would give us a few black and white icons at least?
