View from a Garden Bench: A New Gallery

3DTIM,

Oh please! You and I both know I have miles and miles to go yet! But the journey is fun and I have sure made some great friends along the way.

I love your story about Lowes. Man I can identify with you on this one! Everythime I see a display like that, I'm tempted to get the camera.

I'm leaving you guys for a week at the beach. We are headed to Seagrove. Got an all day deep sea fishing charter booked and another trip for the whole family to spot some dauphin and watch the sunset over the bay. Many photo ops so get ready to see some beach stuff when i get back.

Still struggling with the "soft" images from the E-10. I'm starting to experiment with the settings for sharpness and contrast. I;ve been shooting in normal for both, but still having to sharpen like hell and still can't get them tack-sharp. Going to experiement with hard and high and also try the soft/soft. I'll keep you posted on my progress, or lack thereof.

Take care my friend and see ya when we get back.

Hey Gang,

View from a Garden Bench is a new gallery of images from a shoot on
Tuesday morning with the E-10. http://www.pbase.com/sandman3/view
It has some of the same old stuff and some new stuff I've been
playing with. I did something radically different in posting these
to pbase....I resized them all to no greater than 800 pixels on the
long side, instead of posting the much larger higher resolution
size.

Looking forward to hearing from you on the images and on the
resize. As always comments, criticism, and feedback are
appreciated.

Really enjoyed the walk through the garden. A very nice series of photos.

no i don't have an action, i did it from scratch but its easy to do..simply enlarge your canvas by resizing it and make sure your background color is white.

then you can create a white border and you select the contour of you image and use the stroke command to create a black line around the photo. and i also use the drop shadow around that white border.
Daniella,

What are you using to do your frames? I really like the frame of
Mt. Shasta. Did you do this from scratch or do you have an action
set for frames?
