Wide-eyed Innocence / (1) / E-3

Great shot. You do a great job in making that 25mm 1.4 very attractive. I enjoy seeing your impromptu portraits.

  • it is a must have lens for low light, but works really well in all the situations I've used it in so far..

Nice shot Bill.

Would you mind letting us know how the 25 compares to the 12-60 as far as sharpness, contrast, and bokah while mounted on the E3.

  • Thank you Corey, all 3 are better on the 25..
The 25 is sharp even wide open, and the bokeh will not be as nice on the 12-60..the 12-60 is sharp throughout it's range, but it is not as sharp as the Leica...In good light it is hard to tell them apart, but as the light dims the 25mm shine and that is why I bought it..it's low light performance is stellar..

Thanks for your advice Bill, It paid off so well last year when you suggested the Metz 54 for my FZ-50. I really do enjoy the 12-60 I just would like that little edge at events and weddings were a little faster would make things that much easier.

keep up the great shot I enjoy seeing what be done with this equipment in good hands.
God Bless

Ripper portrait. That lens is on my next to buy list but buggered if I know where to buy it. It doesn't seem to appear on any Australian sites and I have asked B&H to advise when it is in stock again. I imagine there'll be a stampede of those emails going out...particularly after seeing this photo.

  • You are most welcomed Corey, another lens you might consider is the Oly ZD 50mm f/2 Macro, sharp, really nice bokeh, contrast and colors, and half the price of the Leica 25mm..BTW I'm still using my Metz with the Panny LC1..
Keep up the great shot I enjoy seeing what be done with this

  • The best thing to do is to get on the B&H waiting list, but pre-pay for your order, and you will most likely get one in their next shipment or two..worked for me...
