E 420

I have been looking for an SLR for a whle now and I think I found a keeper finally!!! YAAAA. But first is this a good deal? Olympus Evolt E-420, with 14-42mm kit lens and an epson photoprinter with a $100 which makes it free. The price is $524 you can get a 40-150mm lens with the camera and 14-42mm for only 100 more so it is $624. I don't quite have $624 but i might be able to squeeze it out of my parents. I'm not sure if you can get the printer with the 40-150 but I am going to try. How good a deal is this? should I go for it?

I'm not sure I follow - is the $524 before or after the rebate?

I paid $599 for my 420 and 14-42 lens from BHPhoto. But do some research on this Epson printer. Epson has been doing this free printer after rebate deal for a while now. About 3 months ago I bought this deal: Epson printer + Sony P&S.

I can't remember the printer's model #, but it's their cheap one. The reviews I read on it were poor. I sold it un-used on ebay for 30 bucks.

Also, Epson printer are know for having expensive ink tanks. Something to think about.

I don't need the printer but I might as well have a free cheapo printer they are practically trying to give away, and get a good deal on the camera. Unless it isn't such a good deal. The lowest price I have seen so far though. I can also get the 40- 150 lens for $255 off on sale. this makes it 624, but I'm not sure if you can get the printer with that deal or not but I don't see why you couldn't because the printer comes with the purchase of the camera. Well...$524 for the 420 + one lens or $624 for an additional lens sounds like a good price. And the printer, even if it's cheap and free, might serve you well.

Are you checking online prices, via pricegrabber.com ? Also, are they charging you sales tax? That can make a big difference. Good luck!

no with the tax it is 656 with the optional lens

I just read the fine print - it does come with the printer. Plus, if you are a AAA member you can go to their website and print off an 8% coupon for Circuit City!
