I'm just one of thousands wondering when my retailer will receive shipment of the subject camera. Some of us have been waiting nearly two months now.

yes, i was (in my original post) not 'bashing' canon in any way. i
dont have any problem with their production. i have a problem with
their public relations. if my camera is not going to be in my hands
for another month then just let me know that. it would be better
than having to make phone calls every few days to see what the
'most recent status' of my order is (which, at this time, has been
3-5 days for the past month.)
so my gripe has nothing to do with supply and demand. i understand
that canon cant meet the flood of customers.my gripe is with the
fact that we are being misinformed for weeks at a time. canon can,
at the very least, give the retailers some concrete information.
anyway, i will see if i can extract any information tomorrow...
probably not though.
