Yes Sharon I got this lens less than a week ago.Nam,
I can't remember. Is the 11-22 new for your?
I just love the blue sky that I get out of it. I don't even think if you really need a circular polarizer on this lens. These are nice shots,
and the detail and colors are what I'd expect from the 11-22.
This is good to know, I will try it next time I go out.To use
it to the fullest, you need to get as low as possible, with something
right in front of you.
That's what I did for this outing with my children. One the first shot, with those nice sized
rocks, it works best if you can get right down on the ground with one
of the rocks about a foot away from you. It is difficult to find
just the right shot for that lens. I often go out with just that
lens to force myself to look for the right scene to take advantage of
the wonderful qualities it has.
You shouldn't use a CP filter with this lens. It really screws the sky up. You wind up with a lot of deep blue in the middle and whites on the sides in some cases. The only filter I use with the 11-22 is a set of Lee graduated neutral density filters, in some cases. They are useful in pulling out more dramatic skies or allowing shots closer to the sun rather than having to always shoot away from the sun.I just love the blue sky that I get out of it. I don't even think if
you really need a circular polarizer on this lens.
