I had my Optio 330 for less then a month. One day I was taking photos when all of a sudden it stopped working. I was still able to view the pictures i had already taken, I could still see live video throught the LCD screen, but none of the buttons worked in the photographic mode??? I turned it off, then back on, took the battery and CF card out, and tried a variety of other things. For some reason every once in a while, the buttons would work for a fewe seconds then stop again. I called tech support the following day and when I was on the phone I was suddenly able to take two consecuative pictures, then it stopped working again. I sent the camera back to pentax, which they said would take at least 4 weeks before they would send it back to me!!! I have not even owned the camera for 4 weeks!!!

The camera was not exposed to and liquid, excessive temperatures, it was never dropped...

I was wondering if anyone else has had their 330 malfunction like mine did.

Yes, I am on my third camera. The first one packed up after 24 hours. It would not record pictures to the flash card. London Camera Exchange swopped it the next day. With the second one when I turned it on the lens popped out and then immediately retracted, thus not allowing me to take any pictures. This was again exchanged for another one bt London Camera Exchange (Bristol). I complained to Pentax UK and they sent me a remote control and an AC adaptor. My THIRD camera "appears" to be well but I still have my fingers crossed!
