I finished up buying from Jessops, booked on line, collected from Peterborough, £970 plus a camera bag. Got the mbd10 from ebay, that was an american import that was already in the uk. I do like the extra grips, must be the big hands, I have one on the D200, but the mbd10 is a lot better made. making a lot of changes and testing with colour modes before I do my first wedding with the D300 in a couple of weeks, Sam Stern's setings look pretty good at the moment.

I can tell you the exact duty free price from Dixons, I go through the airport every week. I bought my D300 there last week at Heathrow T4 for £851.06

Body only, comes with Capture NX. Their lens prices are higher than UK high street though, so buy your lens elsewhere!

I've had the same experience.

Returned my Lowepro bag as it was too small. They said on the website they could take up to 30 days to reimburrse me; it was actually three days from the day I posted it. The replacement bag, a larger LowePro didn't turn up for a week. When I told them, they posted a replacement no questions asked.

And last year when I ordered an accessory to go with my GPS but didn't use it for 3 months, I then found it was broken. Although outside the 30 day period they took it back without fuss and reimbursed me.

I just wish their prices were a little keener.
