* * * * * * * Mini-Challenge #1 : Waterscapes * * * * * * *

Well somebody has to have some balls to say something about the current post. For me I do not like to stamp on peoples feet but some of the post here to me seems to be...'let me see what I have taken from the past that may have some water in it...and call it Waterscapes'.

..that is why there should be a 'best of stock category' for those who wants to have their pictures seen.

...not want to go through each picture posted but maybe I am misunderstanding the Theme 'Waterscapes'...

Anyway the point I am trying to make is that some posters here, want to post their best pictures and grasp on the subject theme (from their stock photos).

...well I will try to post something..and have fun waking up in a couple of hours (5.00am)..might be toough call though ...too much fun already

...so far ..majority seems lazy...not fun but it is only the first night...
..I hope the fun pictures will come later

Good night and dreaming of a good fun picture.

I basically agree, and I posted to that effect: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1039&message=27847464

The decision for this mini-challenge was however to have no time limit. So I decided to play by the rules.

My day job has priority for the next few weeks, so here's an image from stock:

Nikon D200
Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX
Focal Length 18 mm
Exposure 4.00 sec
Aperture f/16
ISO Equivalent 100
Exposure Bias -1
Metering Mode matrix (5)

..."just say it".....

d300, 85 1.8, manual mode:
Exposure Time 1/800 sec
Aperture f/2
ISO Equivalent 200
Exposure Bias -2
White Balance
Metering Mode multi spot (3)

background; original is just under 40,000 x 4,000 pixels, i found out you cannot save a pano that wide in jpg. Had to resize it before CS would do jpg. handheld, and stitched 'my way', 20 frames
I broke the scrolling rule ;^/ but it is really necessary in this case no?
