Santorini, Greece (Pictures)

Fantastic shots! My wife and I spent about four days there in 2006, after spending a week and a half in Athens and Crete (for a friend's wedding). We stayed in Oia.

Having a camera in Santorini is like being a kid in a candy store with 100 bucks. You just hope you have enough flash memory to last.

Beautiful

I was in Santorini years ago. Such a beautiful place. I really like your captures of the white cities on the hillsides.

Thanks for posting.

Don't worry about making a mistake - - as long as you learn from it.

They are very good.

I do have an unusual request. If you can, please upload 1 RAW (if you shot RAW, that is). I'd really like to have a go at one of your images. :)

Regards,
Ivan

Thank you! I wish i was that good =) i did do some exposure compensation while shooting, i'm not very good with knocking down metering so i took multiples of every shot. i did also do a little bit of exposure adjustment in PP, but idd mostly just contrast and saturation adj.

No problem!! I'm not very good at PP so i'd love to see the results as well!! Perhaps you can share with us what you did as well. Any particular picture you'd want? or any is fine?

Hello Binford
stunning, beautiful captures of a wonderful city by the sea.
your exposures and composition were pretty good and you
probably did not know where to start when you got there.
lol
My Aunt is Greek and she and my cousins spent two years in Greece before
returning to the United States
thanks for sharing

Of course.
Any
particular picture you'd want?
I'd like to experiment with a new PP method of mine. Not so sure if it's appropriate for "blue" images yet, and since I have no similar of my own...well you understand.
or any is fine?
Pick one with lots of blue. Maybe #6 or 7 from the 1st posting?
Thanks in advance, Peter.
