D3H ???

The very one. This is how he describes himself in his YouTube profile:

"Hello! My name is Joseph (aka Joey). I'm a professional photographer and I enjoy creating art with the photographs. I have no expectation for 'perfection' and I wish to do what I want to do.

As the director of photography for National Geographic, I enjoy traveling across the world to help new entry photographers!"

So National Geographic must have promoted him recently...

D3H: (?)

FX mode 8.4 Mpix, DX mode 4.2 Mpix
FX 11 frames/sec, DX 14 frames/sec

ISO 25, 75, 100, .... (cleaner) 12800 .. up to 51200 !! (cleaner compared to D3?)

Buffer 440 frames in JPEG.
("Not to be anounced anytime soon this year")

Hmm.

From youtube:

Nikon D3H Sneak Preview

Nikon have shipped away D3H prototype models to selected Nikon Professional Service members. I am unable to share the photographs taken with the new D3H since the USB door ...

This is a PROTOTYPE MODEL. It is not very well operational camera at this moment. Nikon have shipped away D3H prototype models to selected Nikon Professional Service members.

I am unable to share the photographs taken with the new D3H since the USB door and memory card door had been sealed shut with a special tape (to prove to Nikon you will not share the images, otherwise you will lose your membership).

No video review are available at this moment. This is an ESTIMATE according to the contract - these specifications might will be changed before its final release.

This is not a leak - Nikon publicly allow N.P.S. members to test it out for suggestions and ideas how to improve their D-SLR system to meet professionals' needs and requirements. (The question is, if this is a leak, why would Nikon allow us walk around with their not-yet-released product in the public?).

No information on the Nikon D3X for the next test-drive.

As an NPS member this is what I have been told in regards to testing cameras.

Testing new cameras is only done at a company level in Japan. NPS is not involved in testing new cameras.

Poor guy, he didn't even get his numbers right,
4.2mp in DX mode would be more like 9.45mp in FX size,
Also 220 RAW buffer seems highly unlikely IMHO,

I also doubt the 14fps in DX mode, but one never knows what Nikon is working on right now,

Kind regards

The moment I had begun to watch this video, I sensed the character of Joseph. I right away began to relate the characteristics of the video to him. I then became increasingly mum as the video unfolded.

But THEN...

The moment I saw the person behind the camera, my shoulders dropped from their being tense.

And THEN...

I began to laugh quite hard!!!

I give Joseph this: I very much believe he as a fair amount of creative talent. More than the vast majority of us here. And as an illusionist, I think he's on the verge of being brilliant.

I truly believe this. And I always have.

I dislike the fact that he is actively trying to dupe the world to false illusions. I feel pity that his energies are not directed in a more constructive manor. But I do argue that his attempts at creativity are abnormally high. And I very much commend him for this.

Joseph's continued biggest downfall, so far, has been his own denial of the structure of his own work. If he could only revamp his energies & outlook, he indeed could become that of what he seeks.

I think we all need to get back to our cameras and stop feeding people like "Joseph Spina" with all this attention.

Nikon have brought out a great camera for all of us since we were winging like babies that we didnt have a full frame and we have to much noise!

now we have the camera and we are looking for a replacement after 5 months of its release!
Follow the Nikon trend you will not see another camera for another 12 months!

Now start posting decent threads about how to enhance our photographic skills and cut this BS about D3H and D3X and whatever!

Chris

(and Joseph Spina you need a life!)

Elementary, my dear Watson, elementary: As the name says, an entry photographer takes pictures of doors. From the outside. Usually wishing he were inside while doing it. If you take enough pictures of entries, you get promoted to director of photography. After some years at that job, you get to change your name to David Griffin.
Is that some kind of fetish?
