Dave, I finish my day with those lovely shots. Thanks! My favourites are #5 and #6 (family pictures with nice and rich green in the background, beautiful).
to view such precious images!! 4 & 5 very sweet..especially 4..but the whole set is just beautiful! The field of yellow wildflowers really add to the feeling of Spring in these! I also love the last one too..just a delightful set!!

Really good stuff, Dave. Cute little chicks, as you said. I like the last "crane" Crane shot, but all the chicks are fun. You're lucky to see such birds within range of shooting. Well done, my man!

Thanks for posting such wonderful and interesting shots of these families. The chicks are so cute, and the shot of the juveniles and parents (#5) is such a great capture. Boy, you sure are being prolific these days! Your enthusiasm is contagious.

Daniel

FX01, FZ7, & FZ50
Thanks John. I met a lady when I was out taking these pictures. She has formed a relationship with a hawk. It comes to here place on the lake and she feeds it. She showed me a picture where it attacked and killed a water mocassin riight in front of here house. amazing. I have to get with her.
I think it's the new FZ50 that reignited me. But it will wear off after a while, so I will just have to keep buying new cameras. I am glad you liked these. Baby chicks are so fun. Thanks for looking.
I still don't have any pics of these big noisey birds. I always seem to stumble on them at inopportune times. I just need to make it point to go huntin' for Sandhills. Great series, Doc!
