--- CHALLENGE 117: Grounded --- hosted by Penny Street

OK. So I finally can get on this site. Whew!

Thanks so much for being patient and a special thanks to Lydia for her help in getting things started.

The challenge is moving along. I see lots of great entries and am looking forward to more in the next couple of days. Keep up the great work!

This being the first time I've done this, I didn't know what to expect. I'd love feedback as to the topic I picked, how it was presented, etc. or anything else you'd like to add.

Is there anything else I'm supposed to do between now and Tuesday?

Very nice. It looks great. I'm sure Lonnit would approve ;) Though it's more of rust red than Lonnit's tomato red.

Just curious as to how many of you are in or close to the Atlanta area?

I live about 60 miles north of Atlanta. I was surprised to see the thefly and Pops live near by and some might say like the same old truck LOL.

How many more are from this area??

Thanks for noticing! So, all I have to do now is set up the link to the voting booth on Tuesday night from here, right? And then say the voting is closed on Thursday.
Someone else actually "turns on" the voting booth?
Thanks.

In addition to me and Fly there is Photocat (aka CAT) and Lydia too, er, too! LOL! I've been waiting to do that.

In fact we have a meeting of the Atlanta CSLR Challengers Society planned for April 26th at Lydia too's place in Carrollton (west of Atlanta). I sure Lydia would love to have you join us. I know I would.

Penny, you have done great! You did a beautiful job setting up the galleries. How frustrating it must have been to not have access to the forum. You are right that all you have to do is set up the voting thread here with a link to the booth and a link on the first page of the challenge to the voting thread. See Lydia's voting thread from the last challenge for the info that should be in the first post. You can copy and paste and then change the pertinent info.

Jack usually sets up the voting booth and turns it on at the right moment. Your date tags are correct in the challenge galleries so there should not be a problem there.
This is a fun challenge, Penny. You came up with a very good topic! Sharon

The voting booth handles this all automatically. As long as the galleries are named according to the proper naming conventions, then the booth finds them on its own and handles it all automatically!

Jack has done a superb job with this.

Really, there's nothing to do but sit back and watch it go.

Penny: This is a wonderful challenge. Everything looks right to me :)

thanks, Sharon. I'm glad you like the topic. I will admit, myself, to having difficulty looking down instead of up (but that was the point of my idea)!

Lydia gets some of the credit and all my thanks for helping and I truly appreciate everyone's patience with me. I will admit to being very frustrated with the forum but it's all fixed now. I just hope everything goes smoothly with the voting.

That's funny that I was able to help set-up... having only done it once, and had trouble with it myself that folks came to my rescue on.

You did a great job. I like the topic. It's something everyone can shoot, inside, outside or wherever. No purchase necessary.

grin

Well done!
