Not sure if this is the correct forum so if its not, I apologize. I have just acquired a 16-160 mm 1:1.8 cctv three motor drive c-mount camera lens. Can this be adapted to my D300 and if it can, would it be worth the hassle?

I want to try it but I don't know how to adapt it to fit my D300. Any suggestions?

First place to look is E-bay! I know there are adaptors for F mount to C but not sure about the reverse.

Bjorn the Norse photo god is the expert at adapting weird lens to Nikon bodies you maybe can look at some of his coversions and get an idea. http://www.naturfotograf.com/homemade.html Hope this helps

Unlikelikely that this would work.

C-mount was IRC for 16mm Movie Cameras which would mean that the flange focus distance (approx 17mm) would be smaller than that of the Nikon F mount.

Also the 16mm frame is much smaller so the image circle wouldn't cover even a DX format sensor; again, IRC, the circle is around 13mm diameter.

Looked at the link and it was not maybe as helpful as this one http://www.naturfotograf.com/index2.html .

All jesting aside , Bjorn has done so much as far as free disemination of his technical wheezes and widgets that he in my mind has acheived a special plateu in the photo world. Many thanks for all you do Mr. Rorslett
