Question on IS setting

Hi all,

The other day while out shooting in low light I noticed that when I select IS on my E-510 there is also a setting for focal length. How does this work? Am I supposed to be somehow estimating my lens focal length when I use IS?

That setting is for when you are using other lenses than Zuiko Digital on your camera.

only when using non fourthirths for example old OM manual lenses or other brands Nokon, Pentax etc.

It's only useful to enable IS when using legacy OM lenses, if you're using new digital lenses it's not required, camera already knows the current focal length directly from the lens.
