Nikon has just announced the fall in the prices of Coolpix 885 and 995. From there to think that the changing is very close, there is only one step... and an awkward teasing, published by Nikon.us, dissipates any doubt on this subject! Good news for those which will benefit from it... foul weather for those which bought too early: Nikon lowers the prices of Coolpix 885 and 995. . Coolpix 885 passes to 649 euros (4257F), that is to say a fall of 30%; . Coolpix 995 falls to 799 euros (5241F), that is to say a fall of 35%! Certain Internet sites went much further and, these last days, we saw Coolpix 885 to 539 euros (3.535F) and the 995 to 664 euros (4.355F!)! Hard for those which paid close to the double at the beginning of year... What hiding place this fall of the prices? Easy to imagine when one looks at the
current state of numerical the Nikon range: - Coolpix 775 is not any more delivered and finishes its career at Auchan, which negotiated the exclusiveness in the tail of stock. - Coolpix 885 is quasi untraceable: Nikon-France would have ceased the deliveries; the apparatuses which
remain out of window result from "revolving stocks". - Coolpix 995 also almost disappeared from the rays but Nikon ensures the transition until its replacement with 995 blue handle (and not red) recovered in the USA and Japan. They are the same ones, the menu setup makes it possible to configure French posting. In short, Nikon prepares the changing! Moreover, a TEASING, ON US SITE NIKON, announces already the event for May 29! The trouble it is that this teasing grotesque sows the disorder: the association of the initials x3 and the cube suggests that Nikon prepares a sensor news technology. Result, since its publication, we are assailed by requests of readers who want to know some more about what they believe being a new Nikon reflex camera! We are thus obliged to give an opinion and to contradict what US Nikon suggests: NOT, NIKON WILL NOT LAUNCH ANY NEW REFLEX CAMERA ON MAY 29! THERE WILL BE NEITHER COOLPIX 3, NOR NEW CCC 3d NIKON! Just THREE new Coolpix, intended to support the current models and to replace those which leave the scene. Nikon.us threw the disorder with its teasing irresponsible.
Because of him, everyone wonders about this famous "Coolpix 3... coming May 29th". Since Nikon.us obliges us there, the play of the riddles is thus started again: Coolpix 1500? 2000? 3000? 3500? 4000? 4500? 5500? 5700? 6000? 9500? Seek well: the names of the three new apparatuses are in this list! Remain to know which will be their characteristics. It is not difficult to imagine them and we had let besides filter information right before the LDC, by announcing prematurely Coolpix 4000 with sensor 4 Mpix. Nikon will confirm soon that we were right. --> In the test of the 995, we had been astonished that Nikon changes the zoom of the 990 by preserving a sensor 3,3 already out-of-date Mpix... The substitute will thus adopt, which is logical, the sensor Sony 4 Mpix, of the same size than current the 3,3. He as more compact and, especially, will be finished better, thanks to a body profiting from the same quality as the 5000. Of course, the twin spool concept, so particular, is preserved. One also hopes that Nikon will have improved operation of the flash, unworthy of an apparatus with 1000 euros and will have corrected the distortion in position great angle but, from
this point of view, nothing is not sure. --> the numerical range Nikon upwards has also a gap: current Coolpix 5000 is sold well in spite of a high price, but it is too close on the G2 Gun and not muscular enough, the side zoom, to bar the road in new Minolta Dimâge 7i and Fuji S602. Nikon thus prepares Coolpix "bridge-camera" builds around an impressive zoom. We would have liked one 5500/6000, equipped with a zoom"28-quelquechose": in numerical photograph, one more requires for a great angle that
of a teleobjective of 280mm! It seems that marketing decided some differently: it will be necessary to be satisfied of a zoom x8 starting with 35mm, undoubtedly easier to build, doubtless coupled with the one of these aims
