Where's the A100?

Jerry,

Kind of you to say to. UNfortunately, 'twas the best I could do with my
limited knowlege. There are folks on here who could tell me exactly where
I should put the sliders to get it "just right". :))

Thanks.

Oh, while I think of it, although it is not a new posting, nor is it a new
picture with the A100, I did post an image on the portrait thread that
whizzed through here earlier..... So, the A100 IS being used by some
of us...

Until I can afford an A700, that is. Then my daughter will be using
the A100.... ;)

Hi Tim-

What lens did you use for this shot?
(Were you using "Auto" mode?)
Some info on the Picture

Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f2.8 XR Di-II LD Asp IF
1/125s f/9.0 at 17.0mm iso80
D-R+
Sharping at +2
I use mostly the 'P' mode or 'A' mode.
Spot Focusing
I focused on the white truck.

I only used the Auto mode once. When I bought the camera.

On the left dial press the center button then rotate the dial to ISO. It will be at the bottom of the list. Use your 4-way pad to scroll to it and press the center button again.

Well, it has been sometime since I last used my A100, but I'm definetly keeping it as my backup cam.
Providing proper glass (like my Siggy 180mm macro) you can get very nice shots.

The A100 is an incredible camera that works stunningly well - in the
right hands. Why would anyone replace it?

As it seems to be faultless - unlike all the moans I am hearing from
the newer ones, - there is little to write about.

I use it regular for over a year and it takes very very good photos.

Adrian,

I agree the A100 works very well so why would i not want to use it all the time?

I bought my Canon 5D Dec. 2005. I got the A100 in Jul. 2006. Yes the A100 is a super camera and if I did not have the 5D I would be using the A100 100% of the time. I just happen to like the look of full frame image quality so much I can not bring myself to use anything less. Simple as that, I'm waiting for my flageship to come in and things may well change.
