Another sign of spring is what we call a coral tree after the shape and colour of its flowers. This tree flowers in red and only after that come the leaves.

a young and relatively small tree

and two shots of the flowers

enjoy while it is still red

Thank you all for your remarks. The tree can grow up to more than twice the size of the one in the first shot. I'll try finding a big one in full bloom and post it's picture. there are quite a few in my neighborhood.

keeping my promise, found a relatively large one in full bloom. The last few days have been overcast and grayish, so the colours are not as beautiful as they can be in better light conditions, but if i wait a few more days. the leaves will come out and it will become an ordinary green tree.

it's not the largest but you can get the idea

Beautiful tree and shot Dov, thanks for sharing. They are a quite common shade tree in the coffee regions of Colombia. I have somewhere a shot I took of an unpaved road lined on both sides with these trees in full bloom with the mountains in the background.

Thanks Jim

It's been in Israel for about twenty five years in places where the weather suits it. That street you took a photo of must have been very impressive
