>>>Olympus Challenge 77 -Voting<<<

I voted in both but found it very difficult, as always. I also learned more about lighting, and was able to practise with the low-key setting on my new camera (a first!). This makes me a winner in fact, even if not by points.

Congrats to everyone who entered ... many wonderful shots!

--well, we may share the same nom de plume, but he out strips my talent.
I just thought you might find them amusing. I have 3 cats and they remind me of certain of their (more obnoxious) characteristics.
And I have even been called Catmando by S. Hayden but that still does
give me that at kind of talent. I must admit that I have been working
on single strip photo captions of the cats that I live with.
that's interesting. I was poking around on your smugmug account and could not see something like this - do you have any examples?

--No, I just have them in my head right now. I do not do video work and I can't draw, but I and sometimes write the captions down.

I have started a sequence of images that I have not completed in the CAT Gallery the animal category where Freddy follows the street wise Tommy on to a boat dock. Freddy being afraid of water would never get close before so I thought this was one great learning plateau for him. Once on the dock they both jumped under the boat tarp to remain cool and they would not come out until they cooled down.

That was a cool series. You can really tell Freddie is tentative around water. My cat's do not get up on their rear legs like he does. My oldest (a calico) is the smartest and keeps the twin boys in line. She only has three legs and is starting to wind down a bit (about 14 years old). I can talk to her and she seems to understand - things like "You want to go in?" She will turn sideways so I can pick her up easier. Or "Hungry?" and she'll scoot over to the food dish.

Thanks for the series Richard.

--Brent , thank you for the nice comments. Calicos are the smartest of all cats with the exception of Siamese and their mixes. Freddy, a snowshoe siamese, is exceptionally smart and talks a blue streak when he is angry.

you should post some of your cat pictures on the the sunday cat forum.

No doubt Rich. Our little 6 month old calico is the sassiest cat I have ever experienced. She'll read you the riot act if she's not happy.
