River Horse "fight" action shots...

--Holger, Those shots are amazing. I hope you were on dry land with
a telephoto lens!!
I used the 70-200 mm Canon lens...for some shots i would have prefered someting even wider like mit 28-70mm lens. Now you know how close i could get ;-)
Outstanding detail.
I was lucky enough to have enough light available - so i had no focussiong problems nost shots are > f5.6.

I think this is a fine set of images. I was very happy eachtime I scrolled down and found another image to look at. I think some of what you call a lack of sharpness or detail is due to water streaming off of the hippos.
