You can of course right click on the full versions of the photos and save them...you can select and copy text and save it in Word, Front Page or even Outlook as html.

I'm not sure how they create the web pages...do you upload them via FTP or some special interface?
I want to cancel my AOL account but have a very treasured web page
with them. Is there any way I can transfer those pages to another
server without having to do them over?

Isabel, if you don't have the pages on your hard drive any more, just download them from your site - you can use your browser to save the pages. When you have new web space you just need to upload them to there (if you have absolute links ( http://members.aol.com/etc ) rather than relative ones (contents.html) within your site tho you will need to change these). Sorry, don't know if I'm made this very clear. Mail me off-list if you'd like more help :-)

AOL has a special interface...it also has FTP. The links to my pictures are in their ftp 'bank". I guess I could copy the pages, but I'll have to upload the images to Yahoo's File Manager. thanks.

Thanks, "H"...

I'll fool around with copying the pages but I know I'll have to redo the picture links...I guess I'll have to upload the pictures to Yahoo's File Manager, then link them through AOL's set up...then copy and see if it works. What would my life be without a good challenge?

That's a great idea...but I think I have to move the picture files from AOL to Yahoo because I'm closing the AOL account.
Thanks!
Isabel
You could always try something like "Pagesucker 3.0" (
http://download.com.com/3000-2377-5962802.html?tag=lst-0-11 ) to
download the files into a neat folder, maintaining the directory
stucture you had set up online. I don't know of any way to do the
transfer directly without having to upload them again.

You could use FTP.. create a folder on your hard drive then log on using ftp and tag all the files and directorys on your webpage. Open the directory you created in the left window, click on the arrow pointing left

It will download everything into that folder including the directory structure you are now using.

Thanks...I'm pretty computer literate but this sounds a bit complicated for me. I have to wait for a day that I'm feeling brave! I'll file away your directions!
