Very nice gallery! I like the diversity. If you don't mind, could I get some more details on this picture:

http://rijnders4.myweb.nl/D60/151-5165_crw.htm

I was wondering how you mounted your camera. Did you just set up a tripod in your back seat area? That is actually with the built-in flash? The exposure is excellent.

I was thinking about setting up my tripod in my back seat, setting the camera to automatic night-time portrait mode(flash with longer exposure), setting the TC-80N3 to take a picture every 5 seconds and drive around until the card fills up. You think I'll get anything interesting like that?

Thanks.

Hi Edwin,

Hi Jim,

Actually my girlfriend was driving and I was sitting behind her. I did use a tripod but it's not that easy to hold it steady. However the main flash (just the built in) freezes the inital image anyway and it doesn't matter that much if there is some movement afterwards (it can even make the effect more interesting) Also I did use manual exposure (just tried a couple of shutter times first)

Have fun trying! And be carefull people don't mistake you for a police car that tries to photograph speeders with all that flashing in the dark ;-)

Yeah, that could look kinda weird from outside the car. ;) I think I'll do this tonight and post the results. I love experimental photography. :) Thanks.

Maybe I'll even take the top off and drive around with the camera sticking out, without flash. Just long(1-4 second range) exposures. That could be weird. Good thing there aren't too many bugs this time of year around here. ;)

Hi there,

I’m slowly updating my D60 gallery with new images. The
latest ones are a couple of zoo shots. I took these on a dark and
cloudy day. Although I normally try to stay with low ISO values I
had to go to ISO400 to get acceptable shutter times. (to be able to
hand hold and to be able to freeze the movement of the animals with
my 200/2.8L lens). The ISO400 results are very good, noise is very
low (even on print) and the images we’re nicely saturated
(with help of the overcast sky).

If you’re interested, have a look at http://rijnders4.myweb.nl
