Taken at BBG. I tried many times to get this image. I think this one works.

Stan,

I like this image: the arch of the limbs, the curve formed by the trailing leaves, the angle of the bank, and the colors. It makes me feel secluded. It also makes me feel a little like a child, since I used to play under willow trees whenever I got the chance. And then, it piques my curiosity: I'm wondering who has the job of trimming the tree so the leaves don't quite touch the water...

Nice work on the exposure, Stan. Did you do some masking on this one?

Hi Floren,

I'm glad you like this one, it is one of my favorites as well. I gotta send my camera in for repairs soon. The lens coating is chipping off and it is starting to effect my photos. I don't know if I could live without a camera.

Stan
it works well, my favorite of yours so far

Hi ac,

Many tries on this one failed. I used the magic wand tool to select the dark areas underneath and did a copy and paste. Changed the blending to screen and then sharpened. I like this technique for getting details in dark areas. I find that selecting the area to lighten works well for me.

This willow grows in BBG and is trimmed by the wonderful gardeners who present me with all of these incredible photo ops.

I may be forced to make a dsrl decision sooner than I wanted to because the coating on my attached lens is wearing out. I don't think I can go without a camera for the 6-8 weeks it will take for Nikon to repair it. I hope to look at this as an opportunity to get a dslr and might listen to Larry and get a used D30. I thought about using a permanent marker to blot out the spot but better not try that.

Lovely image,Stan ! There's an interesting eye-teasing effect of
the vertical stands of branches and the reflected intervals of
sky.I like it !!

Hi Rick,

This part of the BBG is always very attractive. I was very happy to have been there at that right time of day.

Stan
Hi Stan,

Lovely shot, really like the layers of dark and light in the green
foliage, the reflections are super too.

Dear Stan,

This is a magic image. I expect green reflections in the water and here I see yellow relections between the two area's of green, that gives a kind of magic in my eyes, I really love that. What a nice picture of a nice place with wonderfull light.

With very kind regards,
Dirk Vermeirre
