Dynamic Photo HDR has an option to make a "Fake HDR" when processing only one jpeg image. Here are some taken with a Sony 717.

Comment & critique welcome

You can apply tone mapping to any image, regardless of whether it's HDR or not. A lot of people say "HDR" when they really mean "tone mapping".

These images look pretty good--no nasty halos that are typical of poor-quality tone mapping.

I sorry but I dont know what fake hdr means?
HDR is High Dynamic Range. It involves taking multiple or bracketed exposures of a scene which would normally be too contrasty for a single image/exposure to properly capture - detail in both the bright areas and shadow areas. The bracketed exposures are then combined.

There are various HDR software programs that "automatically" combine the images into one image.
But the pics are nice and very cute.
Thanks.

Could you please explain how you managed to generate these pictures
with a Single Photo??
The program is Dynamic-Photo HDR. And particular process is dubbed FITYMI (Fake It 'Till You Make It) or fake (or pseudo) HDR

Here's the Fake HDR info page at their website:

Yes, it's applying tone mapping. Was not implying that these are HDR images, hence the "Fake HDR".

However another thing you can do when PP Raw is to adjust the brightness or fill light setting to expose shadows and save a jpg as +1 or whatever the additional exposure is/was. You can also go the other way and save as -1. The merge the 3 images using dynamic photo HDR.

Here's an example:

the process seems to be enhancing the predominate color and increasing the contrast.
