I just recently got my D60 and need some advice. I photograph race cars at night that sometimes have highly reflective lettering or numbers on them. With my other EOS cameras I always set my flash to Manual mode to override the auto exposure from underexposing the shot. I do not have a 550 EX but I do have a flash that I can set to Manual but what I was wondering is if anyone knows of a way to set the popup flash to Manual? or is my only bet to use the regular flash on Manual?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Can anyone help on this?

Hi Missy,

I have a D30 and I am not aware of any way to set the popup flash to manual. I feel certain that you will need to use a different flash setup. Sorry that I can't be of much help. I would re-post the question if you don't get some additional responses.

Shoot anything reflective at a angle. I photographed Crime Scenes for 25 years and learned the hard way shooting license plates.
