i will show how i made it tomorrow as i can take pictures of the device it provides enough light to light up a 8x8 room not really bright but bright enough to read etc.

the lights are at 5500 so is ok for macro etc. it runs on 3.5volts as well so it a low power consumption. i will be trying some night macro shots tomorrow i also tried it with eye lights with a flash attached as well and worked great.

I was obliged to work with LEDs for a project. I had to obtain light emission spectrum.

So, some of the LED are actually emitting in blue, with phosphorescent additives to shift the curves towards approximation of white.
Not a problem, but something to keep in mind when worrying about WB.

thats for you input i will keep thatin mind.

i do not know why they do not make something like this if you doubled the leds i have used it would make a great macro light plus very low power consumption.

BH Photo have some similar ones for sale for macro work, but I'd be interested in building one like you and saving the change for L class glass (of course!).

Congrat's for putting in the effort and having a go. Should be great for macro!
