Greetings,

I picked one of these up today in very nice condition (near perfect). Does anyone know how this lens fairs on digital? Is is worth anything? The feel and classy built in shade had me hooked. I like old glass.

Cheers, Seth

Well, for one thing I believe the adapter you'll need to use this has a glass element. So while this will allow you to use the lens most will tell you that it will degrade the image.

I never had the lens with all my mf gear so I don't have any experience with it. Have you check "rokkorfiles.com" to see if he has info on it?

Critiques always welcome!

Why not try it out - if you can't get good results with it what comfort will it be if others tell you it is superb ( or vice versa ) ?

rokkorfiles.com doesn't mention it. I did find out that Minolta made a 200mm lens in many varieties. f2.8, f3.5, f4, f5.6.

I thought the KM/Sony DSLR accepted legacy minolta glass. No?

Cheers, Seth

No, KM/Sony don't accept MC lenses - those use the older, SR mount.
I use some SR mount lenses on my Olympus mirrorless camera, though. Adapters have no glass, but the focal length is doubled.
