still remember your film Nikon? here are mine

F801s (N8008s)
F100
F4
F5 (x2)

and btw: Contax 167MT, Mamiya 645 Pro TL and Hasselblad Xpan

And still use all of them... (F801s, F100 with my brother in law, just got the F4 today :-) )

I still have mine in the presentation box! Still like new

Have several F2s and some really old glass.

I sold all mine, but am having the urge to pick up a pristine F3, maybe an F3T. I'd love to run some Tri-X through that with some fast glass attached. That photo of your (Kevin) F3 w/ the 50 1:1.2 makes me jealous!

My F3 is sure a beat up old thing though while my N8008 is in 8 out of 10 shape -- and they both still work just fine!

here are mine - the only film cameras that I have used for
40 years or so and they still work fine - never a repair and I
took them everywhere - beaches, hunting, fishing, vacations,
sports, many weddings etc.

It was nice not to worry about batteries!

my first (F) in 1965:

my second (F2) in 1972:

Now (since my D200) they reside here (left side in plastic):

The classic FM. It went through many years in my family generation, one pass it to one, then one pass it to one, finally it already passed to me. Began learning how to use the FM when I was four years old along with some help from my dad and my great uncle (who is a former New York Times photographer). Manual everything, I had a 50mm f/1.4 AI but I broke the front element glass so I got a replacement for it, which is now 50mm f/1.4 AF and it works fine when focusing manually on the FM.

So, now these days, it just sit in my closet and haven't used it in centuries... Here's some pictures that I took just now. :)

...This camera surely brings the great old memories back.

my F3 and 35TI, to me, the craftsmanship of Nikon.
which model you have?

From the first SLR to the D50. But since then I have switched the D50 for a D40, and the D200 for a D300.

My first nikon was the F2 w MD-1 motor drive. What a beast, I think the weight 5lbs without a lens. I used these for auto racing back in the early 70's. The camera preformed flawlessly and any bad shots were from user err not camera failure.

I have no comment.

I'm just going to leave him alone.

I don't think there's anything that
anyone can do - for him or about
him.

He's like a cockroach - that's quick
to skittle under the refrigerator,
only to come out the other side.

If you try to smash him - you'll just
be making a mess on our floor.

I think a cockroach has something
of a brain though.
