'The Photographer reveals the light;the light reveals the picture'--C.Rajagopal.Raghu, I like the diagonal composition and the bright colours, you
have a lot of detail captured there with excellent dynamic range in
the flowers.
The only critique is that the background is a bit distracting. To
possibly eliminate this distraction or minimize it is not easy with
the FZ50, a larger aperture and using the telephoto end of the zoom
helps as much as possible, but I find that to really blur the
background I need to use an auxiliary close up lens.

'The Photographer reveals the light;the light reveals the picture'--C.Rajagopal.like it a lot. Crisp and detailed. I reckon Jim's advice is spot on
to make it even better. Another alternative is to us PP to darken
those light areas of background.

FZ5
with Photoshop there are many ways of doing anything but here is one
I would try
1. duplicate the layer
2. choose the burn tool and a nice soft brush, largish to start with,
and say 15% exposure
3. use the mouse to run the brush over the bright area, try to keep
away from the actual flower, keep going over till it looks nice
4. make the brush a little smaller, now brush over areas closer to
the brush
5. you can afford to darken a touch more than you want
6. use the layer opacity slider to adjust the effect a little more
(this is why you can afford to darken more than you may want in the
end)
7. flatten the layers, and save the final version
