First Publication!

Great shot! Congratulations from my part of the world. But now I have
someone to blame (you, that is :-)) if my wife thumps me for buying
that lens :-) you made me want it so much!

Jamshid.
Jamshid,

Thanks! The DA21mm is a fantastic little lens. Best of luck getting one without getting thumped! ;-)

Chris-

I'm going out to get my March issue of Trains ASAP. You have such a great talent for framing an image. And you're a nice guy to boot!!

Thanks, Steven! I'm headed to the store tonight to get a couple extra
issues.
The store? The least they can do for that good photo is to give you a dozen copies or so!

I was in Colorado last fall and it is beautiful - Denver, Colorado Springs, Ft. Collins and Boulder. Great place for trains. The worst thing that ever happened to the US was when the rubber companies bought the train tracks and tore them up to discontinue the trains and create a market for their car tires. What a waste!

WOW! Amazing shot, I really enjoyed it.....what time of the day was
it shot and how was the sun (if you remember).
Thanks.
It was earlyish in the day - 9:00 or 10:00 I think. Sun was shining
bright as could be after a snowy night. Thanks for the nice
compliment!

Thanks for the reply...you have exposed the snow, the sky and the dark subject very well, impressive!....can you also tell me what was involved with Post-Processing.

Thanks, Ben. I don't think "pleased" is enough. I'd say something more along the lines of elated. Thanks again!

Thanks, Leopold. It certainly is a great feeling. Next stop is going to have to be a cover, I guess! ;-)

Thanks, Alan. It was taken out at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden. The PPG shot was actually taken as the loco was rolling out onto the turntable. There aren't even any tracks where I was standing. It was a cool opportunity to get a dramatic shot without any danger to myself!

Thanks again!
