If the camera is kept cold, say in an air conditioned room or even
in an air conned car, when you take it out of the cold into the
heat, mositure will form very quickly and may cause the camera a
problem. At very least it'll steam up the lens !
One way to stop this ( there's probably others) is to keep the
camera in a sealed plastic bag. When you take the camera out into
the heat, leave it in the bag for a while, say 15 - 20 minutes.
That way it'll warm up to the ambient temperature and not steam up
when you take it out of the bag.
The same applies to video cameras which seem to be very sensitive
to moisture forming on the heads.
