I got a nice little surprise this evening. I found that one of my photos got accepted into the PPG.

Here's the only one that made it so far:

This puts me at somewhere around 1 for 22.

Very nice capture. It's certainly not easy to get into the PPG.
Nice going.

My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely !
Thanks, Moho. I've seen so many great shots not get in that it was a pleasant surprise to have one accepted.

Beautiful! There have been a lot of birds submitted to the PPG lately, but this one really stands out - well deserved!

(I sometimes can't believe my eyes when I look at some of the bird submissions, they must be 100% crops shot at ISO 1600 pushed to 6400 - looks worse than my W10 at highest ISO in the night!)

This one really deserves to make it - nice and sharp with excellent
colours and pleasant out-of-focus areas. Well done!

Thanks, Lars. I just love my K100D Super and my ever growing lens collection. Considering how many excellent shots didn't make it into the gallery, I truely feel honored.

Thanks, Espen. I've submitted a hand full of birds along with some flowers, lions, primates, landscapes, macros, etc.

I sure hope that none of the shots I submitted fell into that category :o)

Well, only if they were remotely different from the one that got in :-)

Congratulations!

Great photo Al, I've noticed it in the 'recent' gallery. Not only the bird is so sharp, I also like the colours in the out-of-focus area.
I wonder how long it will take for me to get one accepted :)
