Hi all,

Please excuse me if this has been asked before but has anybody had any experience of using the Lyson cis ink system in an epson R2400 printer I am going through about a set of Epson inks every 4 weeks and am ken to know good or bad points of the Lyson system. Thanks in advance.

re-post here.

suggest you take a look at Inkrepublic's r2400 cis first. their system is very popular and got very good reviews.

Lyson, image specialists and opc have good inks, these inks are made based on inkrepublic's r2400 CIS. If you dont like their inks, the only good source is from epsons.

rolland elliott combined epson 220ml inks, which is cheaper, and inkrepublic cis together.

it's an excellent idea to convert your 2400 to 3800 level.

Not sure what you mean by that. The Lyson and Image Specialists inks (I haven't tried OPC) work well with any decent CIS or refillable cartridges; they have nothing to do with the Inkrepublic CIS.

Both Lyson and Image specialists made their R2400 inks based on InkRepublic's CIS. InkRepubilc provides their R2400 CIS to lyson, IS and others inkking companies so that they can produce 2400 inks. Otherwise, these inkking companies have no system, no chipset, no nothing to make inks. Check with Lyson, IS and others, they will tell you the same thing.

lets put this way, if you are going to make the inks for any new printers, you need to have refillable cartridges or CIS to load your own inks and test. Adjust the formula, material, color...etc. No way to use original cartridge. InkRepublic was the first one building several models, r800, r1800, r2400.... so they provided their system to ink factories.

What you did not realize, was that Lyson worked with at least two other CIS suppliers (whose names get mentioned frequently here). InkRepublic was by no means the only system with which Lyson tested their inks.
