Setting for 2x lense F707

What settings are needed when you use a 2x telephoto conversion lense? Does anyone know how to keep focus? Without lense perfect focus with 2x lense, the focus is poor. Any solutions.

I am still getting used to mine.. so this is from a novice..

I find that it does seem to take longer in auto focus mode, to get focus on the subject. I have also noticed that due to the weight and size, every movement of my body is movement in the lens. Best thing I have found is to use a tripod whenever possible, that gives me the best shots.

ok... went back and read your post from yesterday too... I wonder if maybe you just got a bad lens?
