s900 banding?

I was getting great photos on my s900 but now i get a horizontal banding line about every 1/8 inch.

How do i solve this?

I had driver 7.2 so i upgraded to 7.22 and it went away. Not sure why but it did. Now i see what people are talking about with the slightly washed out effect of this driver. hmmm.

I have the s800. The first pic I ever printed with it had horizontal banding as you describe, but only in out of focus areas of high noise. I was disapointed. This was a butterfly in the evening at very low DOF, and part of the dark background was underexposed. I think the noise confuses the printer. If I clean it up a bit with a noise filter it prints great. This has happened on a couple of other pics too. I have new drivers too.

Yes it is. Not so bad on matte paper.

I've tried printing in other programs such as film factory and qimage with no washed out effect. Hope you have other such options. Canon will get this worked out. I find the print preview feature of the new driver indispensible.
