I went out to get the dogs and noticed that we had nice light shining on the wall and window of our shed. Killin' time with the F50, 1.4 til the DA43 & 21 arrive. Comments and constructive criticism welcome.

Thanks, friends, for looking and offering feedback.

Thiago, yours is a marvelous image. I really like the dynamic effect created by the horizontal lines of the roof gable and birds. These contrast nicely with the horizontal lines of the roof metal seams. It is a strong composition and nicely executed photograph. Thanks for adding it to the thread.

Thanks. I went back to review the raw file to see how dark the window glass was in the original, and it was indeed very black and nearly reflection-free. I did lower highlights in PSE for the window to bring back a little of the texture in the white frame, and this did remove a bit of reflection from the glass but not much. There is a tree immediately overhead shielding much of the direct sun, so maybe that accounts for it. I also recall while shooting that I had to position myself carefully or my red sweater would being reflected back out of the window. I positioned myself just out of the zone of reflection. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Matt-

I was out last month working on a favorite project of mine and chanced upon this at one of the sites I visited in eastern Colorado. Your composition is simple and filled with contrast, and that's what I find appealing about it.

Nice shot, Lucky Sky. Your image has the added character of the torn screen. I will be out in New Mexico this summer for 10 weeks and am really looking forward to shooting in that region of the country. Your images offers a sample of what I'll be chasing with my new line up of primes (21mm & 43mm). Thanks for adding your photo; it helps get the forum focused back on photos a bit more. I tire of what seems to be endless technical talk that eclipses the creative work of photography and the joy of sharing and critiquing one another's work.

You'll find an endless supply of interesting subjects. I plan one week there in late May. My target will be Northern NM.

Be sure to post pics of your trip
