Olympus C2000 Or Nikon 950

I recently bought a Nikon 950. With NiMh batteries, power consumption is basically irrelevant. Get two sets of batteries and alternate. Here's a good

However, the Nikon has big problems with the flash, which is that it washes out everything closer than six feet. Close up flash shots are unusable.

You should go to a camera store with both the Olympus and the Nikon and test this yourself. It doesn't take long and you can use the LCD to evaluate

them. I know the Olympus D-500 did not have this problem - fantastic fill flash abilities. So maybe the C2000 is good
 
I beg to differ!

I've done macro shots with the built in flash and they are not washed out.
Try changing your metering settings. It seemed to work for me.

I have no problems with my 950 either.
I shot as close as 12" with the flash in P mode and the focus at Macro.
