Hi everyone,

I just recieved a email from pentax to a response that I wrote. If anyone has any further knowledge on this please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hi Dale,

You should expect to see some really exciting new releases which will be incredibly competitive with the big two early next year…!

Thanks,

This was a reply after I wrote this:

I would be there for sure if pentax would come out with the successor to the k10d. I haven’t seen anything even though all the majors(canon, nikon, sony, Olympus)

Have come out with new dslr. I guess this just means that pentax isn’t ready to get in the competition. I guess the next step is to sell all my pentax equipment since they refuse to compete with what is out on the market.

Sincerely,

Dale

I wrote this because I recieved a email from pentax stating this

Pentax K10D is still a good camera. And it was released just a year ago. Why people are so impatient? :)

Look at Olympus: they waited several years for E-3. And there wasn't that many complaints. :)

I don't think there should be a new camera released each year. Once two years at least. That race for more new models every year is bad. For example, quality suffers from such short release cycles.

It has been knowned for some time now that Pentax will present their new products - new DSLR's and lenses - at the PMA show in January. I'm sorry that you are so impatient and writes such an unpolite e-mail to Pentax. The K10D was released last autumn so it is a newer camera than Nikon D80, Sony A100 etc. And how long took it for Olympus to release the E-3 after the E-1? Several years my friend, several years. And you're asking for the replacement model less than 12 months after the release? Oh dear!
Not even Canon and Nikon has product cycles that last less than 12 months.

Yes I have to agree with you. I guess I am a little impatient. The pentax k10d is an okay camera. I apology. I actually thought about what I wrote and my reply and called her up and apologized a bit. Thanks for the input everyone. Sometimes I guess I have to step back and realize when I have pushed an issue too much.
