Lightroom 1.3 update

A great day for Mac photographers - Leopard 10.5.1 AND LR 1.3!
If they both came out today, do you suppose one has been tested on the other?

The Adobe web site is very often not up to date. It is supervised by the US headquarter.

Once I spoke with Adobe support Germany and he complained that even if they report errors, it takes at least a month that the error is fixed.

There are many dead links / loops referring on the same page on the Adobe web site.

The LR 1.2 version for PC is not listed on their download section too, but can be downloaded.

Mine says there's an update for 1.3, then takes me to the adobe
download page, which only lists LR 1.1 update...

What am I doing wrong?
Nothing. Like 1.2, 1.3 is not an update, but a full version. Download and install the full version you get under the "try" link and you're done.

It's beyond me why Adobe is not able to offer their update in a way one can understand ...

HTH,
Thomas

10.5.1 builds were seeded to developers over past two weeks, last one being "with no known issues" I think.

Get Info on the LR1.3 package says created Nov 5, did they really spend 10 days testing? OS update package says Nov 13. Even on the 15th Adobe could run a regression test with the final OS update - maybe that's why they released so late in the night? ;)

Anyway, good thing is everything seems to work!

I've got a big problem with the update. Now I can finally access the Printer dialogue, but after I get everything set up just perfectly (Page Setup, Printer preferences, etc.) when I print (to an Epson 2200), I get a horrible magenta cast. I have cleaned and re-cleaned my print head. The print head test printout looks fine, and the same image prints just fine from CS3 and Aperture. I only get the magenta cast in Lightroom. Anyone else have this problem? Fix?

Only my opinion. It's worth what you paid for it. Your mileage may vary! ;-}

Nope...Apple still has some bugs to fix.

Actually, it wasn't that - whichever of Adobe's webservers I was getting was only offering 1.1 trial/update, not even 1.2. When I tried again about 10 minutes later, I got 1.3.

They took out the sliders.. for everything and did away with white balance numbers.

WHAT THE F* K

Me no like!

I went so far as to log in to the Adobe forums and post a be-yatch

Baloney.

You were rambling at the Adobe forum too.

Not necessarily wrong - it may have happened like that on his system
(corruption?), but my experience is that the sliders are all still
there and white balance numbers too.
No, it was his error - he was in Library looking at Quick Develop and complaining (on at least two forums) that the sliders had been removed. Perhaps he should have asked for help before pointing the finger.

I'm having a similar but different problem with my HP 9800 (similar to 8750). When i print from Lightroom, I get a yellow cast over everything. When i read about everyone getting a cast with Lightroom, I tried printing from Elements 4 (i dont have CS3) and on that i get a strong magenta cast. Printing with the printer managing colors is ok, but not as accurate as lightroom used to be with the profiles. I'm really mad too because I had waited until both Leopard and Lightroom updated. When adobe listed fixed compatability with leopard i assumed they meant everything was fixed. Guess not.

The problems are with the printer drivers for Leopard. Epson has a new one for the 3800 that fixes that, the rest are still waiting.
