don't get mad, but I followed you instructions to the letter, and also not to the letter, and no way could I find a number. I got "still having trouble? Contact us" It was not on right side but there was no other "contact us" I Clicked on but no list of area's to send an e-mail or any phone number.I did call the 800# that was posted and they apologized for any problems I had, But could not explain why.anyway I still think you foot faulted on that last point.

I did what you asked but I will not post the URL from inside my
personal account for obvious security reasons. Follow these steps
and you can find the toll free number posted on their site with no
problems.

1. Log into your account
2. Click on help
3. Go to the bottom of the right side and click on contact us.
4. It will put up a list of areas that you can choose from to send
them email.
5. Just under that list the toll free number is posted.
6. Should take less than 3 mins to find it.

Case Closed! Point and Match!

Yes, but this was all true of Enron, too. Except they were under a different index and had a different symbol ... but being publicly traded and announcing that their profits were way up didn't mean a great deal in this case.

Caveat emptor.

The 800# belongs on the HOME page right up front, and if not there, DEFINITELY on the "contactu us" page. Two clicks to find the number on the C2it site. After four clicks I stopped looking at the Paypal site. This leads me to one of two conclusions:

(1) Their web designer is totally inept, as were all the people that reviewed the site.

(2) They don't want the number to be easy to find.

Buy.com: no phone number at all? the help page has this lovely note:

"In an effort to provide our customers with a superior level of standardized customer support, buy.com made the decision to move to an eMail-only forum. The eMail-only policy began on February 23, 2001 and promises to be a premium method of supporting you, as we are committed to answering your eMail in 12 hours or less. To send us an eMail, please use the form above. We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage you to use our enhanced support method."

Amazon.Com's help and contact us pages show no phone #'s.

I believe this is one of the major shortcomings of "eBusinesses". They save lots of $$ by running essentially "lights out" operations. Large scale customer support -- having live warm bodies to answer telephones costs big $$ when you have the large volume of customers like Paypal, Amazon, and Buy.com. C2it, being run by a large bank that already has phone centers to handle credit cards, etc. has already made that investment. They're probably leveraging off that by training existing operators how to handle inquiries from this new service. The cost to them in that scenario is negligible compared to the other three.

I just closed my account with paypal, don't want to have any trouble in the future, worry - free
