Hi, I have that item, and use it frequently. it's very easy to carry with you and use in many different situations where you would not want to have a bulky tripod. Thanks for pointing it out.......K.
I use a handmade beanbag for camera support whenever I don't wish
to carry a tripod. Really handy (and good support for my Kenko,
too). I just found this link, quite clever I think!

Hope it's of interest to someone!

Hi guys,

How tall or high is this "pod?" Is it possible to shoot at eye-level with it, or is it more like a "table top tripod?" Thanks!

Alex :)

Hi Canyonlu - thanks for posting this! I viewed the web site and ended up purchasing The Pod for $14.95 from Fred W. at Adorama Cameras 1-800-223-2500 ext. 259. He said it should arrive sometime next week. He also looked up prices for several other items, batteries, etc. and was extremly friendly and efficient. --Carla

Hi Alex,

I don't know its measurements, but it looks like perhaps 6 inches or so? I made a simple beanbag of denim and pinto beans, but I like the little tripod attachment in this. When you are carrying a bag of "stuff", the beanbag does att weight, so I'm looking for that new filler they use on kids stuffed toys......kind of feels like styroafoam, but enough packed into some "squishy" fabric that it seems to conform. I wonder if The Pod is filled that way.........haven't even investigated yet.....just saw a link to it somewhere. My husband also attacked a flat piece of acrylic to a tripod for me, and I put my beanbag on that......I really like it as again, my Kenko doesn't droop!!

Looks silly, but it works!

Cool. I ordered one right away! Thanks a bunch. This beats hearing endless pleas of "Daddeeee!!! Gimmee back my Beanie Babies!!!" when searching for a bean bag support...

Now, Peter, if your kids begin to borrow your Pod as a turnabout...... just take their bluejeans, cut them up, and make another!!
