i was wondering if it a good idea to buy a camera from a site like newegg. i might want to get the A570 IS but am not sure if the site offer the camera as new. BH has it, but at a higher price(combo deals), need a liitle advice here.Thanks.

I've bought items from Newegg and have been very pleased with it. Reliable, fast delivery and a good price.
 
yes, i understand that their service is good, but my real concern is whether for the cameras they sell are "brand new" . Their site did not specify if their "non computer products" are brand new.

Why would you be concerned about them selling non-new equipment? It's a very reputable vendor that's been in business for quite a few years. Wouldn't your assumption be the merchandise is new unless specified otherwise?

Anyway, you can get a better deal at buydig.com, another reputable dealer. And I'm sure you can always ask them if their stuff is new, too.

They will state it as a re-furbished or open-box item. Newegg is very reliable. The A570IS is also available at amazon for 158.00 with free shipping. New.

I've bought from both newegg & buydig. Excellent service from both.

I've never seen any item sold on either site as being used or refurbished.

BTW, I have the A570 and it's great!
