D3 release date (Denmark, Europe)

Today I went to a digital camera show where Canon, Nikon, Sony and lots of other big manufacturer were represented. Once I got to the Nikon booth I saw people playing with D2Xs, D80 coupled with "old" lenses and then I saw the D3 and D300 alongside the new FF lenses. I have pre-ordered the D300 so I went to try the demo and without going too much into detail I can say its an amazing camera, instant focus, great ISO and the LCD-screen, whew..

I only had a short minute to try the D3. From that I can say it has a blazingly fast FPS, large viewfinder and a good handling - I didn't get to try the high ISO, but it didn't look like a bad camera :)

Anyhow, the Nikon representant spoke with a person next to me and I overheard him saying the D300 and D3 will be launched the 20th November in Denmark. Due to that he said that all the cameras coming in that batch are already sold.

That's happy news for me since I though we would be the last country to recieve the new cameras.

Anders, I was at the show aswell, and I also heard the date november 20'th being mentioned ! This however does not seem logical for a small country like Denmark , getting the first cameras , but maybe ..

I got a phone call from a representative of Nikon Norway this week who said that he expected the D3 to arrive to the first Scandinavian customers in the end of November / beginning of December. I hope and hink this is true, so I think people in both Denmark and Norway can look forward to getting that fabolous camera soon.
 
I reckon that we get it first in Scandinavia as we'll be paying the most for it...
(1.5* the US price...)
 
If this is true - it might be worth setting up a business doing grey imports...
