...If Canon execs felt that was a good shot, I can see why they might not have noticed the Mark III focus problem.

Couple this shot with the consistently bad sample images Canon offers for new cameras and you really have to wonder whether any Canon employee is capable of taking a good photograph.
 
Perhaps defendant Shigeta has his, er, his camera's subassembly repaired and was merely testing the focus tracking of his 1D III. Yeah, right.

I coulda had a V8 -- but I bought a 1D Mark III instead
