post some b&w pics!

Hey Al, Like you I had a 2nd e-1 in the draw, and decided to take the plunge. Jens Birch (over at the other forum) did it for me.

Thoughts?
  • hmmmmm....
  • much more dust than I'd hoped for, and kinda expensive considering the amount of dust...??, so for 'quality' prints I'll need to do quite some cloning.
  • having the IR filter on the sensor rather than the lens does make it much more fun to use.
  • you do need 'lots' of sun/IR radiation for the AF to work - which is much more frustrating than I'd hoped for. I was hoping to use it for some 'speakers corner' type portraits, but doubt it'll work out.
It's v.early days yet, and I've really only taken it for that one outing so I'll reserve judgment.

Hope that helps Alistair, and you will see more over the coming months. Cheers, Adrian
