Shortcuts not working in PSCS

Sorry if this is not the best forum for this question, but I've been having trouble lately with Photoshop shortcuts not working for me after working in it for 5- 10 minutes. And once shortcuts stop working if I close & save a file the keys i use to name it are all mixed up too. It's not my keyboard or computer because I can go directly to Word and the keyboard works just fine. In order to make Photoshop work again I have to close and then start it up again(and then it works fine for another 5 or 10 minutes). I've already tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, but it still acts the same way. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Try running MSCONFIG and disabling all your startup programs, then reboot. If the problem goes away you have a program changing the shortcuts. If it doesn't go away you can re-enable your startup programs and read the additional ideas that will get posted here.

Click START, then RUN. Type in MSCONFIG. All programs currently running in startup should be visible.

Did you get a new mouse? CS had problems with certain wireless mouse drivers.

I do have a wireless mouse but it's not new. Thank you to everyone who's responded. I'll work on it tonight.
