Hahnel 1800's or GP1800 batteries?

My camera shop down the road has recently testified to finding the GP1800's (probably one of the best AA's around) inferior to the Hahnel 1800 batteries.
Does anyone know whether there is any truth in the rumour.

One thing I did notice is that the Hahnels are 1.25 volts and the GP's I presume are 1.2 volts. This may make the difference to the cut off voltage.

Any wisdom or experience?

I've been a bit of a battery 'nut' for years - ever since particularly getting into digi - learned most from my Dad who worked/lived with battery care as his life. I've tried most names you can think of , concentrating on the higher capacity NiMH generally and just common-sense 'use' experience. Always used to have high regard for Hahnel but after experiences with about three kinds of theirs - for different cameries, both AA type and proprietary designs - I've just not found they give me as good results as some others.

GP type have been good, even some fairly obscure Far East name type (Fameart - ever heard of them - and Ansmann (German) now more regularly seen here in UK.

No, just don't rate Hahnel as tops by any means. Good battery but NOT the life of a few others in direct comparison.
