One day left so there is still time if you want to participate in this challenge. A lot of nice pictures so far, I’m not looking forward to have to choose a winner.

Anticipation

Rock 'n' Roll

Atmosphere

I bet no-one can name the bands... lol!

All taken with my old 300D, n oediting done to them at all.

The first was with the 70-200 2.8 IS, what a great lens :)

In fact, the other two were as well. Natural lighting (if you can call it that!) - no flash used. (Didn't have one then! lol)

...I really have to admit that I like the first one -- capturing the vibrating strings is really creative -- it's very interesting how the string over the sound box isn't vibrating as much as the other areas.

It's not what you think. It's an illusion. What you are seeing is a shot taken with a very narrow DOF. Here is part of me and my bass in action from a sort of similar angle but not as short of DOF. Mine was at f3.2 at 50mm. I'll bet Jody was at a much high mm since his EXIF says f5.6.
Nice work as usual Zoo!!

Mine!

Greetings,

First post on this board. Just found you guys yesterday when looking for info on lenses for my Canon Digital Rebel XTi. Lots of great discussions going on with very helpful information.

Anyway, I'm a musician so I figured I'd post up my favorite pic I've taken so far. I have no illusions about winning a contest, but I figured the more pics the better! The only lens I have so far is the kit lens, although later this week I should be receiving the 50mm f1.4 lens I ordered online today.

Now let's see if I can post this pic right...

Any feedback (positive or negative) is welcome! I'm looking forward to spending time here. Thanks!

Taiko presentation made by the japanese community in Brasilia, Brazil.
Taiko has drums of many sizes, as well as instruments made out of bamboo...

All the players have to play with a lot of energy and synchronism, there are many moves during a presentation...jumps, shouts, etc... pretty cool

I took this one with my Sony H5 and not my 400D Xti...
Sorry about that, this pic was in the middle of my other pics with my 400D...

I'm gonna post a pic with my Canon right away!

From the rules:

"Any picture you've taken is eligible regardless of time taken and camera."

That means it´s Ok for you to use this picture in the challenge if you want to.

I guess I misunderstood the rules..when I read "regardless of time taken and camera", I thought it meant that it didn't matter if it was the 300D, 350D or 400D...

Thanks for pointing that out!
