Hi Eric

Interesting, sneaky test, but who wants to get it wrong and everyone see? Not me!
Ok well never mind there's nothing much to choose between them.

Number 3- The tower of Big Ben looks to have the best resolution so I'll say 707 and I think the 707 did 2 as well because of the colour.

I really like the tone in 4 and 5 (but that's perhaps the weather) and they look like 6900 shots so I'll go 6900 which leaves 602 for number one.

I bet I'm a mile out right? There really isn't much to choose between them though. I'd be more confident on the originals.

I'll take a stab although I was with Ian for the most part...The clock tower can only be the 707, 1 and 2 would be the 601 and 4 and 5 the 6900.
Just a stab....3 and 5 have great color.

Hm.............well.um..............lets wait to see if somebody else with greater knowledge than all us poor ignorant souls can enlighten us with their wisdom ? I think not ! because it goes to show that at this size there is not much difference.............the link and results I will give...........after work...................maybe i have scared people off with this challenge !

I'll take a stab. 1 is 707 (terrible color). 2 and 4 is 601 (Good color, not really good zoom). 3 and 5 is 6900 (Good color, good zoom).

Oh...brings back memories. Just came back from London three days ago, and I'm sitting here looking at my own pictures.

But, here goes...

3 has great detail, so I would guess 707
5 has the beautiful color of the 6900
4 6900
2 601
1 601

Ok here goes my shot at this:

1 together with #4 are the ones I really dont have any idea of. so #1 is 601 although I really see a problem with the color in this one.
2 hmmm 6900 as from time to time the fuji have a green cast and I clearly see one here.
3 can only be 6900 or 707 due to zoom so I would say 707
4 6900
6 F601

No ranking on technical merit as I do not know what you mean by this.

Well, Eric, it's a very fine challenge, but there's a simple trick to know exactly the answers, and somebody will be disappointed for the results.

Well I'll give it to you mate.....that was pretty good.technical merit........sharpess ,cleaness,etc.

two possibly three...hmmmmm..................okay I will post the results and the link tonight its 8pm here.

Sorry, Eric, I didn't want to break the challenge, so I didn't said the results.

It's a fine thing you did, and in my opinion this can be read as: it's very difficult to say which camera does the best job, dependly of the situation, time, whether, etc..
(next time let's open and resave the images, to erase exif data)
